Amber Heard posted pictures and video of herself touring a mosque in Istanbul, where local custom requires a hijab to be worn covering the hair and neck. Likewise, modest clothing should be worn at holy places. Heard wore what she calls a head scarf, but has half her hair hanging out. She also shows her neck and cleavage. To top it off, she’s braless in a sheer dress that clearly shows her nipples.
She got called out on it from netizens, most of whom found it to be extremely disrespectful for her to appear this way in a place of worship. Muslim commenters found her actions to be unforgivable.
Amber Heard has struck back. She writes: 'Nope. Apparently whoever paid 4 this to b “written” wasnt paid enough. 'Ill make it easy(ier): Mosques are real places. So are museums & churches. So are head scarfs (where they are sometimes required n order 2 visit). Mystery solved.'
First, she calls out the reporter for how the article is “written” then goes on to babble incoherently herself in gibberish that’s barely legible. She has little room to talk.
Second, the plural of scarf is scarves. Scarfs is loose slang for when one eats rapidly. And, more importantly, it’s not a simple head scarf. It’s a hijab, which when worn properly has social and religious meaning. She is obviously clueless not just about what it’s called, but what it represents.
Further, yes. Mosques are real places. They are places of worship which should be treated with respect. That respect does, indeed, require “head scarfs” to be worn, not just as fashion accessories for photo ops, but to be worn properly to show the place and the people the respect they deserve. By refusing to do that, she shows a staggering level of disrespect.
Her dress is likewise abysmally disrespectful, with her nipples clearly showing through. She was wearing a jacket which she could easily have pulled closed around her chest for modesty. But it’s clear that she has none. And there’s nothing wrong with that bohemian attitude on the streets of Soho, perhaps. But in a place of worship where people were praying, a place where modesty is expected, it goes down like a lead balloon.
It’s clear that her trip to the mosque was nothing more than a photo op. And when she got called on it, she’s completely without remorse. She lashes out like a child at the people that criticized her. She had a chance to learn something and be humble, even apologize, but instead chose to show her true colors. Vindictive and childish.
I, for one, just can’t wait for the judgement to come down in London, the first nail in her career coffin. Then for the judgement against her in Virginia, which will be the finish of her. Not that she really needs those judgments to finish her off. Word has it that not only is she removed from Aquaman 2, but that she’s also blacklisted. Nobody wants to work with her. And I don’t blame them. She comes across as a spoiled, selfish, abusive brat. Who wants to work with that?
More as it happens, my dears.
