Amber Heard is facing removal from the Aquaman Franchise, as well as being banned from WB productions and several other screen projects, according to a multitude of articles over the last few days.
Koimoi.com explains that not only will Mera go the way of the dodo, but that Jason Momoa's Arthur Curry could be replaced as Aquaman. He'll still serve as king, but the role of Aquaman could be handed over to Aqualad.
Bounding Into Comics says that Warner Bros. might be feeling the heat from Aquaman star Amber Heard’s bad press. Reports are saying Heard might be removed from Aquaman 2 or see her role reduced greatly. We would obviously prefer the former. Though this humble petitioner would pay double to see Mera get killed off in some gruesome fashion in the first ten minutes.
Small Screen reports that Amber Heard has been fired as Mera from Aquaman 2 after the new evidence which has come out of her legal battle with Johnny Depp. There have been rumors for months now that Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Comics might be forced to fire Amber Heard.
Sausage Roll says that Reports are flowing in from Hollywood alleging that Amber Heard has been removed from the upcoming Aquaman sequel and subsequently expelled from any future Warner Brothers production indefinitely.
The International News says that Certain media outlets have claimed that the makers of the Aquaman are contemplating over removing Amber from the cast of the film. However, an official statement is still awaited in this regard. We hope it's just a matter of time.
There are a lot more articles out there, and they all say the same thing. It's no guarantee, of course. And it would be wise to wait for official confirmation before celebrating. But we remain hopeful.
When we first started this petition, it was heartfelt, but didn't really stand much of a chance of making any difference. Since then, though, we've garnered over 400,000 signatures, and reports indicate that Heard being removed from Aquaman is a real possibility.
Here's hoping.
