First, thank you. Almost 65,000 people have stood in support of Odelia and Nerissa Quewezance — two Indigenous sisters who have spent over three decades fighting to clear their names after being wrongfully convicted in the death of Anthony Joseph Dolff in 1993.

Your voices are being heard. But justice is still being delayed.

Odelia is currently out on bail. Nerissa remains under supervision. Both continue to live under the heavy burden of a wrongful conviction that has never been fully reviewed or overturned. They are still criminalized for a crime they did not commit.

A growing body of legal experts, journalists, advocates, and Members of Parliament — including calls from human rights organizations, Senators and even the Congress of Aboriginal Peoples — have joined in urging the government to finally act. And yet…

We are still waiting on the new Minister of Justice to formally review their case.

After years of advocacy, including widespread media coverage, the submission of their application for a Ministerial review, and overwhelming public support, the silence from the federal government is becoming deafening.

Let’s be clear:

➡️ The sisters were teenagers when they were taken into custody.

➡️ They were interrogated without lawyers or proper legal representation.

➡️ The only confession came from a male co-accused who admitted to acting alone.

➡️ There is a strong case for a full exoneration.

We’re not giving up — and we’re not going away.

If we do not see timely progress from the Department of Justice, we will be taking this matter back to Parliament. Canada cannot continue to ignore the truth — or its responsibility to correct past wrongs.

📣 Here’s what you can do right now:

✅ Sign the petition if you haven’t already.

✅ Share it again, even if you’ve shared before.

✅ Tag your MP. Tag the Minister of Justice. Tag the Prime Minister. Let them know this case still matters.

This is not just about two sisters. This is about the treatment of Indigenous people in Canada’s justice system. It’s about accountability. It’s about change.

We’ve come this far because of you. Let’s keep going.

🧡 With gratitude/nia:wen/Miigwetch,
