Stop the closure of Burnley's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

The Issue

Keep specialist services in East Lancashire, so families don't have to travel 30 miles to receive the care they need! My baby niece spent 4 weeks getting specialist care from Burnley's NICU when she was born due to complications and the team are fantastic and we could not of asked for a better service. After such a traumatic time for my sister and brother in-law to travel more than 30miles to see their very poorly daughter would inevitably create added stress and anxiety at a time they should be with their daughter and have their full attention and love. Fortunately NICU is still open and helping families and babies in East Lancashire who have difficulties. However this unit is threatened with closure as part of an ongoing NHS review, this is a situation that could be stopped if you sign this petition and let's keep our specialist services in East Lancashire!
