We have just heard this morning from our MP Caroline Ansell that the Home Office has reversed its decision and I have been granted a 30 month visa by Immigration Minister James Brokenshire! This could not have happened without all of the support that we have received on this petition, the media attention and from MP Caroline Ansell. We have been successful but there are still thousands of British families who are still affected by this unjust and inhumane immigration rule. We received so many sad and poignant messages from British people who have been directly affected by this law and who are forcibly separated from their spouses, children and extended family. This is why we can't stop fighting until this rule that affects thousands of British families is changed. David Cameron said himself that "If love is divided by law, it is the law that needs to change". We need David Cameron to honour this statement and do something to help stop separating British families.
