As many of you may remember, thousands of vehicles fell victim to the vehicle scrappage scheme a few years ago. But what wasn't obvious right away is just how many classic and historic cars unfortunately got caught up in the scheme! We need to rise up and make sure the ones responsible for this know how much of an outrage it is to destroy historic vehicles such as Classic Mini's, Land Rovers, Mercedes, Audi's, Lancias, Toyotas, BMW's, Subarus, Austins, Triumphs and MG's of all sorts which is just naming a few of a huge list! Now some of these may still be waiting somewhere to be scrapped, unfortunately no one has really confirmed if they have met there makers. So upon looking into this further, the purpose of this petition will be to demand a stop to all future schemes from allowing classics of any kind! No acceptions! Why trade in a Triumph Stag or a BMW 2002 for a newer car when they're is nothing wrong with the old one? Keep a car on the road rather than scrapping it and buying a new one, its much more eco friendly and lets face it, you look much cooler doing it!
