Accept more Syrian refugees' asylum applications.

Accept more Syrian refugees' asylum applications.
The Issue
More than half of the Syrian population has been displaced as a result of the civil war. Around 4 million people (roughly one fifth of the population) are refugees seeking asylum outside Syria.
The majority of refugees have been accepted by neighbouring countries (notably Jordan and Lebanon), however the conditions for refugees in those countries are far from ideal. Many live in cramped refugee camps with limited food and healthcare. 38% of the refugees are children, the majority of whom are receiving no education. Their lives have been shattered.
There are tens of thousands of Syrian asylum applications which remain unanswered by countries outside of the region. While countries like Germany, Sweden and France have accepted large numbers of Syrian refugees, the UK has only accepted around 100 (the number remains unclear).
Support this petition to force David Cameron to accept more Syrian refugees, and reverse the tide of xenophobia sweeping this nation.
