Hello everyone, and sorry for taking such a long time to update. To be honest after the FCO statement was released we have lost a lot of momentum and support for our cause. Through that statement, it seemed to many as though the UK government has sided with the results of the Thai investigation, and that the parents of the victims believe the Thai authorities side of the story. To me, and many others, this is completely outrageous, especially with the MET report verifying that the UK investigators did not investigate a thing. We do not trust the evidence that the Thai authorities say they have. We have been demanding from the beginning that the UK authorities launch their own investigation and independently verify the DNA evidence that the Thai authorities say pins Win and Zaw to these murders. I personally believe that the FCO has been feeding the families of David and Hannah misleading information, and I believe that the families are unaware of how ridiculously corrupt the Thai judicial process is.The FCO has turned what should have been a criminal issue into a political one. This is not about finding the real killers but sparing the Thai authorities of any embarrassment. All of our demands to the UK government have been ignored. This includes the 100k signatures that we hand delivered to 10 Downing Street. Every attempt to get an official response to our petition to the PM's office have also been ignored. Current efforts to try and secure a fair trial for the accused have been mainly about fund raising for the defense team. While I believe that is important, I personally have no faith in the Thai justice system and believe that this case can only be won in the court of public opinion. Once again this is just my personal opinion but what I believe we really need are witnesses that were there to come forward publicly, and if they are afraid to do so to at least make themselves known to the defense team anonymously. If anyone has any other ideas of how we can proceed to try and ensure justice for the departed please let me know. Also, please share the following website which was created by a human rights activist that I think has done an amazing job of explaining the details of this case and letting the world know why this case is so important. I would mention the authors name but I am not sure if the author wants to remain anonymous or not. Please if you can spread the word about www.thailandjustice.com Thank you all for your support.
