Hello everyone and I am sorry for taking this long to update. I do not want our updates to be bothersome or considered as SPAM mail, so I am careful to update only when I feel it will be both highly informative and necessary. I have linked below to two extremely informative articles, one from Mr. Andrew Drummond and another written by the selfless, hard working and highly motivated Koh Tao defense team lawyer, Khun Nad Bergman, that was published by Thailand Justice. I strongly feel that both have done an amazing job in summarizing the appeal as well as highlighting some areas of concern, such as; the still, as of yet, unanswered and unexplained decision by the defense team to NOT file a formal complaint to the Bureau of Laboratory Quality Standards on behalf of the two accused, Wai Phyo and Zaw Lin, regarding the Thai authorities blatant violations of, and non-adherence to, international standards required for scientifically and legally valid DNA collection, rigid documentation, chain of custody and actual testing. One of the most shocking revelations from Khun Nad Bergman must be highlighted here and is done so with the utmost respect to Hannah Witheridge, her family and friends, all who knew and loved her, and with respect to all the families affected by this tragic case: "The incision discovered inside the victim’s vagina was determined by British autopsy to have been caused during the Thai autopsy, not a result of sexual assault." This alone would, in any properly functioning justice system with an ingrained system of checks and balances, nullify and void the prosecutions claimed motive as this being a crime of lust and would call into further question as to why or how the Thai coroner may have caused these injuries in the first place. I consider these articles to be essential reading for anyone interested in the factual evidence surrounding this tragic and horrifying case. I kindly request for all to please take the time to read them, and share this information if you are able; especially as we question with great concern why mainstream media has failed to report this incredibly important information. Please remember, one of the most commonly used tactics by the Thai authorities is to both censor information regarding these types of cases; as well as to drag them out as long as possible in the hopes that public interest will wane and the horrific crimes committed by both the Thai mafia, as well as the Thai authorities (whom are often synonymous with the mafia) will be forgotten. It is our duty and responsibility as informed and concerned citizens of the world to see that this does not happen.
