The British Government's austerity policies are a breach of international human rights, a new report by the UN has warned. The UN having investigated the UK on the effects of the welfare reforms and human rights, have now published their findings. The report states : The UN are “seriously concerned” by the state of inequality in the UK. It highlighted the problems with welfare reforms and benefit cuts and the impact it is having on the vulnerable in our society. The report also expressed concerns over Sanctions, unemployment, zero hours, the national minimum wage, homelessness, use of food banks, and discrimination.
