Dear supporters Last time I wrote to you, I reported that my sister was sentenced to one year and yet the judge did not officiate the verdict; and that Ghoncheh went on hunger strike. During this agonising time, the case was sent back to the attorney’s office for adding further charges. The rumour of possible charges tormented all of us. Ghoncheh was then transferred from solitary detention to a general ward in Qarchak prison. There, she broke her hunger strike after meeting my mum. We were also shocked and baffled by our own lawyer, Mr Alizadeh Tabatabaee, who gave few incoherent, strange and contradictory interviews. We realised that the pressure of the case has impacted him. Last night my parents gave up on him and accepted his resignation. But yesterday, my mum was relieved when the attorney told her there were no evidence for further charges. The Attorney showed good faith by following up on some of the serious misconducts committed in the case. This brings us hope for justice. The case is now sent back to the Revolutionary Court. We are looking for a new lawyer and Ghoncheh, certain of her innocence, is awaiting a new chance to defend herself. Thank you for supporting us this far. Iman
