It is with a massive smile on my face that I announce... WE HAVE WON!!! Today Countdown announced that they will phase out cage eggs in their store by 2024. This is what we've all been waiting for, what we've been fighting for, what YOU have contributed to. This will save countless hens AND set the example for the rest of New Zealand. Way to go Countdown! You have really done the right thing for hens and your customers. This is such a happy, happy day for hens and I simply can't put into words how thankful I am for your generous support. I have been reading your comments, watching the number of supporters rise, watching the numbers of shares grow. Thank you, thank you, thank you, supporters!
