Hi everyone,

Thanks to all who have signed so far and for spreading the word about this. A few notes:

-I will be submitting the letter with signatures to The Dartmouth this upcoming week and will be requesting that the letter runs in The D sometime during the week of February 26-March 3. As I'm sure you know, Indoor Heps is this coming week at Harvard. After speaking to some other alums, we felt it best to ask for publication after Heps so that the current athletes can focus on the competition this weekend.

-The primary aim of this letter is to show support for Ron Shaiko. If you have other suggestions or feelings you would like to express about the direction of the program, the chairs of the Friends of Dartmouth Track & Field, Dana Giordano and Dave Altman have asked me that you reach out to them. The next few months will be critical in the future of the program, and Dana and Dave have been working hard to create a line of communication with the administration. They have stressed to me that if we want to use our voice as alumni, the best way to do that is through a strong, unified message. So if you have any thoughts or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to Dana (danagiordano6@gmail.com) or Dave (dave.altman@bernstein.com). They are here for us.
