We, the citizens and friends of the city of Pittsfield, demand that Cafua Management, the franchiser of the proposed Dunkin Donuts at the property that occupies St. Mary the Morning Star halt plans to demolish St. Mary the Morning Star church, one of our most beautiful structures and part of Tyler Street and Pittsfield's heritage. While we welcome Dunkin Donuts investment in the future of our city, we also value our history and the character of our community, particularly on Tyler Street which is trying to revive itself. We believe that the right developer will repurpose the church building to preserve the church that has graced our Tyler Street, Pittsfield community and visitors to Pittsfield. We haven’t forgotten the demolition of Plunkett School and our beautiful Union train station and we won’t stand by to watch the same thing happen again. Save the beautiful buildings and landscape of Pittsfield Mass. 

We the undersigned believe that the St. Mary building should be saved and commit to taking our business elsewhere if Dunkin Donuts destroys this beautiful landmark.
