We are asking for your help.On August 19, 2023, Our son, Daniel Smith was hit and killed by a drunk driver who fled the scene. She had two previous OVI'S that they let her plead down to physical controls and was on probation for the latest one the night she hit and killed our son. Yet again she was allowed to plead down and only got 4.75 years with possibility of being released early. We have created this petition to make the laws harsher in Ohio for these types of offenses. The laws in Ohio are way to lenient and need to be changed. We are in no way asking for any money or donations. We are just asking everyone to sign and share this petition so we can get it to legislation to get it passed. We are needing at least 2000 signatures to get this done.
