Currently, there are serious miscarriages of justice, corruption and abuse of power, jeopardising the sacred country of the birthing trees. DT Zellanach, leading light of the Djab Wurrung Embassy and committed protecter of the birthing trees, is being held in the Melbourne Assessment Prison and denied bail, for minor misdemeanours. His voice and spirt are powerful. DT is a true heart warrior for Mother Earth and urgent help is required, particularly legal and financial support, to address what is quite simply a frighteningly unjust and tyrannical attempt to crush his spirit. Please go to the Djab Wurrung website if you are able to offer pro bono legal or other professional aid to keep DT safe, and get him released, and back on country where he belongs. Make no mistake. What is going on here is part of a crisis of extreme brutality and ongoing genocide and ecocide, happening all over the planet, in the struggle for control over precious resources. It is not the first time and it won’t be the last, but it is more important than ever that we stand together, with the traditional custodians, who are the protectors of these places, risking everything, on the front line. It is absolutely imperative that we maintain heart and integrity, and stay engaged with the mission to heal, care for, and protect the places and cultures that nurture, nourish and sustain all life on earth.
