Great news for tennis today - thank you to everyone for supporting this petition

Hi All,

Great news for tennis (and golf) this morning, and community sport in general, that things can open up tomorrow. For tennis this means waiting to hear from the council that all is ok to open up - hopefully sometime tomorrow.

Whilst we didn't succeed in getting the date brought forward I am sure that the petition helped to pressure the decision-making process.

Thank you to each and everyone of you that supported this petition. We almost hit 5,000 signatures, which is a great outcome for our sport and shows the way forward for community sport and grass roots tennis - if we want something, we can't rely on others to represent us and we have to make it happen!

Have a great time back on court - and let's make sure we all take really seriously the safety aspects of what we do, so that we stay safe and well.
