Today is the last day to formally object to the Forest Service's pending approval of increased road access across public land to facilitate the Village at Wolf Creek development.
The Forest Service is prepared to provide road access, which would greenlight the development of the village, under the same environmental analysis that a federal court deemed "contrary to law" on Endangered Species Day last year.
"The Forest Service cannot abdicate its responsibility to protect the forest by making an attempt at an artful dodge," the court declared. Now, the Forest Service hopes to use the same artfully dodged analysis, previously deemed in violation of multiple federal laws, to approve a different means of providing the developers access.
This battle to keep Wolf Creek wild has been going on for over 30 years, and we've been able to keep the bulldozers away because of support from people like you - and that's no lip service - the judge specifically referenced the public outcry in his statements.
Let's cry out again.
