Many major fast-food brands said NO to cages. How about A&W?

Dear supporters,
Do you know brands like The Pizza Company, Sizzler, Dairy Queen, and Bonchon? Minor Food, the parent company of these brands, has committed to stop sourcing eggs from cage farms by 2027. Minor Food also operates Burger King in Thailand, which has already announced the cage-free commitment earlier this year.
This means that eggs and egg products used in the supply chain of these brands will no longer be sourced from battery cages, which is an outdated and cruel system.
According to major studies conducted in the European Union, this is also good news for customers because cage-free farms have a significantly lower risk of Salmonella contamination than cage farms. Salmonella is a bacteria that can cause acute gastroenteritis and even lead to death in young children and the elderly.
We would like to see A&W join this cage-free movement and help alleviate the suffering of millions of hens in Thailand and Indonesia. By saying NO to cages, A&W will also improve food safety standards for Thai and Indonesian consumers.
If you would like to see A&W join the cage-free movement and improve the lives of hens, please help us by sharing this petition on your social media. If you want to help more, please send messages to A&W on their Facebook pages and ask them to care more about animals and food safety standards.
