I used to buy Happy Eggs because I wanted to make sure I wasn't paying for hens to be kept in cruel cages. I saw the adverts of hens running around outside and I thought 'all hens should live like that'. But then I found out the Happy Egg Co brand belongs to Noble Foods who, for other parts of their business, keep 4.3 million hens in cages. My hard-earned money was going to a company that claimed to care about hen welfare, but also kept many of them in deplorable conditions. Needless to say, I don't buy Happy Eggs any more - and I started this petition to try to change things for the better. You can take action too, via this campaign website run by The Humane League UK.
