I have always felt strongly about the debt that is choking our nation. As a member of the community preferring bipartisan solutions, it is painful to watch how the national debt is affecting every US citizen, regardless of their political beliefs.

We plead with Elon Musk to use his influence to persuade President Donald Trump to consider taxing US churches—an action that could generate roughly $25 billion annually if the gross total income were to be taxed. Additionally, we urge Mr. Musk to advocate for an income tax increase on the wealthiest echelons of our society, as was the case during President Eisenhower's time when the income tax rate for the wealthy was in the region of 90-93%.

The top 20 wealthiest individuals in the US have a combined net worth of over $2.7 trillion. A reasonable increase in their income tax could generate substantial revenue with the potential to alleviate national debt, while also showing that all members of our society are contributing towards the well-being and stability of our nation.

We understand that these are complex issues, and any change must be thoughtfully considered and carefully implemented. Still, we believe that with the help of influential individuals like Elon Musk and Donald Trump, we can begin to make a significant difference to our national financial situation.
