D.O.G.E. - In ALL U.S. States

D.O.G.E. - In ALL U.S. States
The Issue
As Massachusetts residents, we have been long-standing observers of our state's funding prioritizations. It has been found repeatedly that initiatives like climate progression and immigration take precedence over vital community needs. Yet, we are not alone in this mire. We believe all American states encompass frustrated citizens, unaware of their hard-earned money's deployment. This concern drives our plea to establish Departments of Government Efficiency across all state administrations.
The misallocation of funds is palpable. For instance, in Massachusetts, $2 billion was allocated for climate initiatives in the fiscal year 2021. Simultaneously, crucial sectors such as education and healthcare languished for want of funds. Our demand is rooted in the desire for a more transparent, efficient government spending mechanism.
To ensure this, the proposed department will provide complete transparency by making public (and easily accessed) the specifics of budget allocation and fund utilization. More importantly, it would function as a watchdog, ensuring taxpayers' money is used to achieve maximal results and address critical humanitarian issues that are regretfully being sidelined.
Our appeal is not a momentary outcry but a plea for transformative change. Transparency must be the cornerstone of any democratic setup, and accountability is harmony to the tune of good governance. Let's push for clearer, focused, and efficient governance that respects the taxpayer's hard work and wishes. Please, sign this petition and join the fight for fiscal transparency and efficient government spending at the state level. Each and every signature represents a bipartisan, collective and unified society. This petition will serve as a wake up call to our elected officials, and we call on our federal government to begin implementation in effect by 2026.
