After releasing the first edition of Crean The Extraordinary Life of an Irish Hero in late 2018, I discovered more fresh information about Tom Crean that I've included within an additional 20 pages that now makes up the newly released Special Edition of Crean The Extraordinary Life of an Irish Hero.
In deciding to write up my account of Tom Crean's story, the aim was to generate more supporters of this ambition and to win new fans of the man. I figured that for someone to add a signature, it would help if they were to discover his incredible story.
I had initially intended to write up a short account of his acts of heroism yet while researching Crean's life I uncovered a host of new information and it felt like I was discovering Tom Crean for the first time. The result is an in-depth biography that chronicles his life like never before and I'm really proud to have written a book that is generating high praise from those who have read it.
For the month of December 2019 and up to the 2nd January 2020, the County Kerry-made version of the book, which commemorates the centenary of Crean's retirement in 1920, can be purchased on our website with the following voucher code CreanBookCentenary which will apply a 10% discount off the price.
The book is self-published so I don't have the backing or promotional powers and reach of a large publisher but my book is a quality made volume that is fully-referenced with valid sources supporting the content and is also available at a number of highly reputable booksellers and online sellers,
For those who avail of the offer I hope you enjoy the read and I hope it inspires people to tell others of our campaign to earn him the recognition he deserves.
If I receive news relating to the naming of the MRV I will update here and as I very likely won't be posting here again until the New Year, I wish all our supporters my best wishes for the festivities ahead.
