We want to express our sincerest appreciation to those of you who came to protest outside the City Council meeting, and to those of you who spoke before the City Council. We, the San Gabriel Valley Concerned Residents committee, are honored by your show of support and trust. After Tuesday night's Temple City Council meeting, we believe everyone is aware of the long and tenuous battle we face against Mercy Housing and Los Angeles County. We need people from various professions to join our team and volunteer for this cause in these areas: 1. People who can speak and write fluent Chinese, English, and Spanish. 2. People who can help pass out flyers to surrounding neighborhoods and businesses. 3. People who can assist with Social Media and website maintenance. 4. Donations to help fund legal consultation and possible litigation. **We have collected $13,300 in donations as of May 16th.** We will be hosting two donations collection events tonight and tomorrow night, May 17th and 18th, from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm at Angela Preschool. We will be accepting check donations in addition to volunteer applications. Please come join us!
