HELLO EVERYONE!! I know it’s been a while but I just wanted to check in with you all. I’ve been monitoring the situation closely and have found some updates that you all should be aware of. I’ve seen many employees report that their stores were getting plexiglass barriers and floor markers. I didn’t want to confirm that all stores were receiving those until I knew for sure.
But the most recent article concerning CVS protection, which was published on 3.31.20, confirmed that it was true. I’ll link that to this update.
Also on 4/6/20 I received a call from CVS mentioning everything that the company was doing to keep staff and customers safe. It basically reinforced everything that the article mentioned. This included the installation of plexiglass at ALL stores, PPE, and bonus pay (if you worked 10+ hours during the month of April):
-Less than 30 hours = $150
-More than 30 hours/Pharmacy Managers= $300 -Front Store Managers= $500
I even received a text last Friday from the company saying to “take your temperature before every shift if you can. If 100.4 or higher, call out until fever-free for 72 hours.”
I understand that this is a very new thing to everyone, especially companies that are having to take into account people’s health, safety, and funds as well. But I feel as though more could be done to truly protect us. On Reddit there have been multiple posts from employees mentioning how customers aren’t following the guidelines. Apparently employees have been written up for requesting more PPE & hours are being cut at some stores. It’s really bad and seems like the bare minimum is being done. Is this happening to any of you all?
And thank you all again for your support. This is a serious matter and it’s great to see people that care about the health and safety of others. Please continue to share!
