We, the undersigned, demand that charges be filed against the Cleveland Police Officers responsible for the death of 12-year-old Tamir Rice, who was innocently minding his own business in a public picnic shelter at Cudell Recreation Center on November 22, 2014, when a police squad car driven by officer Frank Garmback suddenly descended upon Tamir and Officer Timothy Loehmann fired two shots in 0.792 seconds hitting Tamir Rice in the stomach. Unless police are held accountable for such unwarranted use of deadly force, there is no question but that tragedies like this will continue to happen.
