Message aux signatairesCut the weeds in the River Cam and on the river bank

Victory (maybe)

The Conservators managed to keep the river (mostly) free of weed for the May races. They also had the river bank cut before the races and it was much better than last year getting crews in/out of the bank.

The other side of the towpath was however poor. There was substantial over growth of brambles, nettles etc onto the path substantially reducing the useable width. There were several collisions involving cyclists because of this.  It should be noted however, that this was due to the Council not carrying out its obligations under the ‘Permissive Path Agreement’.

Members of the council sitting as Conservators should be embarrassed.
