I complained to the CPS about the assault case against my assailant being dropped for 'public interest reasons' at the door of the court.
Extraordinarily the CPS confirmed that they were absolutely satisfied about the guilt of my assailant as the evidence was irrefutable but had dropped it because the police had failed to tell them about the clear undisputed hate element of the assault or the damage I had suffered as shown on video.
The CPS had also not been told by the police about the fact that an autistic meltdown is something I could not control and therefore I could never have been prosecuted successfully for having shouted at my assailant in the first place.
I have told the CPS I intend to use the outcome letter as evidence in the current trial to show the discriminatory treatment I am receiving at the hands of the Police and the justice system generally and they have not objected.
I take it that they are only too keen for the Police to be put in the dock for their failures, which hurt the CPS as much as they do the victims of crime.
