It is hard to believe but it is just coming up to three months since I was violently assaulted by my aggressor and since the police were provided with the clear video evidence of the assault. Apparently the 'papers' are still being 'updated'.

All the signs are that the police are looking to downgrade this to a non indictable event and then delay sending the papers to the CPS knowing that it will take them three months to look at them by which time the six month window for prosecution will have elapsed and the criminal gets off Scot free - again!.

The latest news is that the inspector who is meant to have been bringing his officers to order has taken retirement and the new acting inspector is going to be the Sergeant who has overseen the assaults on me by the police from the beginning. There appears nowhere to turn.

The only positive news is that solicitors have accepted instructions to take action against the police for the assault on me on the 30th of May.

It seems wrong that I should now be at risk on legal fees but at least something will be done and I have hopes that a successful conclusion to this will allow the wider action against the police misconduct over the 4 years to be instituted and a different force tasked with bringing my aggressor to justice.
