So.....On Friday last (the 29th) David Mcguiness (AKA idiot who tried to give me a PCN for wasting police time, on the back of a parking ticket) rang my father / carer and said that my 9 month bail, which should expire on the 3rd of December is now 'frozen' and will extend to the 12th of December, solely on the basis that 'the papers are with the CPS'.

When challenged the PC merely said that he 'had checked this with the desk sergeant'. We can find no written record of any such provision that overrides s 47ZDB or 47ZE of PACE.

So here's my question....Is there anyone out there who knows better? Or as we separat, is this just another example of the police inventing a rule for their personal benefit and hoping that if they use it no one will challenge?
