My name is Harvey Munter. I am a student at Hickman High-school, and a member of Hickmans Student Government. The most recent redistricting measures in CPS have created lots of controversy. All of the options hurt high schoolers by interrupting their high school experience, and create an unnecessary and unhealthy change in their education. But there is another, unlisted option, which everyone can get on board with. We need to allow our high school students to choose whether they want to stay at the high school they currently attend, or switch schools based on redistricting. This only delays the benefits of redistricting by two years, and minimizes issues among CPS families. This will allow our students’ voices to be heard, and give our high schoolers a full, healthy, and uninterrupted high school experience. Allow our high school students to continue their time at their respective high schools by signing this petition. Thank you!
