Update on #freecihanerdal (March 26, 2021)
Dear friends, Cihan is doing fine. He has received many letters and messages of support from the "outside". He seems to be more concerned about his future due to the recent developments and continued deterioration of human rights and rule of law in Turkey. We are doing our best to keep his spirit high.
There will be a bail hearing on Friday, April the 2nd to determine whether he should be kept in jail or allowed to go back to the community before the main trial on April 26. This is good news. We also know Canada has raised concerns with Turkish officials. We hope for the best as always and continue the struggle.
