Firstly I would like to say a big thank you to everyone that has signed this petition.

Australian domestic rabbits need all the outside help they can get before we lose our pets, our therapy bunnies & all domestic rabbits to the Myxomatosis virus.

Obviously we aren’t asking to protect all Australian rabbits but we do need the myxomatosis vaccine urgently before more of our pets are lost to an absolutely horrific virus.

There are young children, children with special needs and the elderly, who are losing their rabbits to obnoxious viruses and poisons, myxomatosis being only one of them.

Other pets are allowed vaccines so why can’t we have one for our pets too.

There would be a public outcry if vaccines for cats or dogs or horses or other animals were withdrawn from use or you never had vaccines. You too would be fighting for your pets just like we are.

As well as the petition we have a brilliant website that was set up by a scientist which is full of information & even some stories from a few of our distressed bunny owners.

By looking at the website you will be able to see who has been contacted in relation to obtaining the vaccine and so much more.

Please take the time to have a look at it.

Our scientist is in the progress of updating the website so please keep a look out for that.

There is also a Face book group you can join that has lots of invaluable information.

The signatures now stand at 16, 902 but like all petitions we need more & more signatures. This is where your help comes in too.

Although you can’t sign the petition more than once it’s still a good idea to try.

Many people “think” they have signed but in fact they haven’t.

There are so many petitions requests that we all get it’s quite easy to overlook the signing of some of them.

 Thank you Marjorie Prettyman.
