Another family yet again affected by false accusations. I won't say any names because it's not my war story to claim....
But what I can tell you is this - I've known this family for years. Mom & Dad are wonderful parents to their little boy. Both working either two jobs or double shifts to provide everything for them and the baby. They were kind enough to allow their babies grandmother to move in when she was needing help back on her feet. But she continuously intervened in their marriage, started arguments between her son and daughter in law, would act sexually inappropriate in front of her own adult son (which is just kinda gross 🤢) and was a raging alcoholic. Once they gave her the ultimatum to stay and stop drinking or go and drink her life away. she caused a huge scene, subsequently leading to the police being called for a domestic situation. The police made her leave. The next day, take a wild guess at who was knocking at their door..... Child Protective Services. The mother in law provided the CPS agency with loads of false allegations against these innocent parents which inevitably led to a painful, unnecessary, inconvenient, time consuming investigation. Granted the accusations weren't severe enough to put the child thru torment, it still caused a ton of emotional distress on their marriage/family. Thankfully they are still together and their case has been closed as they cooperated with the case worker, proved their innocence & proved that the accusations were made out of RETALIATION.
Again, I must ask you all. Why is THIS what we are normalizing? Why are we not normalizing the punishment / incarceration of the people who spitefully made the false reports? CPS is legally obligated to investigate every report that is made so long as it makes enough sense or meets the requirements for abuse/neglect/DV/SA in the home. We understand that. We know they are doing their job. But what about those of us who are being repeatedly reported to CPS by the same group of people, have already proven their innocence and proven that the reports were made with malicious intent? What about the families in therapy as we speak because they're still trying to heal from the trauma that these false allegations caused them? What about the families actually ripped apart over false accusations but a corrupt CPS worker wanted the "floater bonus"... It's real, look it up.
