Hi Everyone! Thought I'd let you know what I've been doing while it's been quiet. Things are still moving forward and now that Parliament are 'nearly back' in session we are hoping to hear soon about our chance to go and talk with them. I am also now researching the possibilities of getting the Dating Industry Regulated. It's the only industry that seems to be free from 'real' regulation (not just self regulation as the ODA provide which is also voluntary for the companies) other than abiding by certain blanket laws such as Data Protection, 'Advertising and Trading' and Consumer Law. My next big step is to suggest ways forward for regulation which would include an automatic and authentic verification process on sign up for every company. As well as that, I've been setting up my own website (see below!). This is for advice on all online dating fraud and for others who have experienced this horrid behaviour to share their story, like I did (anonymously if wanted) to help warn others of their type of experience.
