In our city of Rouen, there is an urgent need to create shelters for women and children in danger.

These vulnerable people often face domestic violence, abuse and instability. According to the High Council for Gender Equality, about 220,000 women are victims of domestic violence each year in France. Moreover, according to INSEE, nearly 20% of the homeless in France are children.

It is therefore crucial that we establish these shelters to protect those most in need in our community. We want all these people who are looking for help to find it here, in the homes, where they will be welcomed, housed, fed and above all where they will be safe. By providing refuge for women and children in distress, we can offer them a chance to rebuild themselves and start a new life without fear and uncertainty

We call on local authorities to act now to create these much-needed shelters, ensuring those who need them can acess the support and safety they diserve.
