Give Woodland Dogs a Safe Space to Run — Support a Local Dog Park.
The Issue
My dogs are more than just pets; they’re family. They thrive on social interaction & love meeting new friends, but in Woodland, even though we have plenty of parks, we don’t have a single fenced-off dog park where dogs can safely run & play off-leash.
Dog parks aren’t just about convenience, they support healthier, happier dogs. Socializing reduces behavioral issues, builds confidence, & gives dogs the chance to burn energy in a positive way. For owners, it creates connection, community, & a place to meet fellow dog lovers.
Other cities around us have off-leash dog parks & they’ve seen great results, increased park use, more positive community interactions, & better outcomes for dogs. Woodland deserves this too.
I’m asking the City of Woodland, WA to designate an area even a portion of an existing park to become a fenced, off-leash dog park. This could be supported through volunteers, donations, & community effort.
Please sign this petition to show the city that our dogs deserve a safe place to socialize & be dogs.
