Request for Parker County Commissioners to form a subregional 391 Commission planning group NOW with one or more member County(ies) within our Council of Governments:
Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Wrath, Hood, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Navarro, Palo Pinto, Rockwall, Somervell, Tarrant, and Wise.

And/or with a city municipality such as the City of Weatherford, Aledo, Springtown, etc., to give our local concerns a louder voice.

Our Commissioners Court Judge indicated no longer pursuing a subregional 391 commission. “We will be a part of the NTCOG 391 agreement. Not a local 391,” as he believes there is more leverage when working with data centers via the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCoG). We do not agree.  NCTCoG serves a 16-county region that could be more focused on its two giant urban centers, Dallas and Fort Worth, than rural communities like ours. Without local representation on NCTCoG's 18-member board, our community would not have a significant voice. 

Neighboring member Counties (Hood & Sommervell) and State Rep. Mike Olcott are on board, ready to join our efforts but we need at least THREE Parker County Commissioners to agree. Please sign this petition to encourage our Parker County Commissioners to vote for the formation of a subregional 391  Commission to strengthen local authority in decisions impacting land, resources, and communities, including data center development.
