The Issue

I'm reaching out with a deeply personal and urgent issue that affects my family and many others in our community. My spouse has been unjustly banned from our reservation due to false accusations made by Officer Plyler, claiming my spouse has been abusing me—a claim that couldn't be further from the truth. Let me be clear: my spouse has never laid a hand on me, and these allegations have wreaked havoc on our family life. This unjust banishment has taken a significant toll—not just on me, but also on our children, who are deprived of the father the stepped up's daily support and love.

My spouse plays an irreplaceable role in our household. Every day, he helps get our kids ready for school and is an invaluable aide to my grandmother’s husband, who has recently suffered multiple strokes. We have built our lives here on the reservation, and being forced apart is more than just an inconvenience; it threatens our very way of life.

Many families like ours have been unfairly affected by such reservation ban decisions, often based on flimsy evidence or outright falsehoods. The lack of a clear, fair appeal process means that these decisions are rarely challenged or overturned, leaving families like mine without recourse. It's crucial that we advocate for a transparent appeal process that allows families to challenge unjust bans. This process should force the police to come forward with real, verifiable evidence before shattering lives and communities.

For this reason, I urge our Tribal Council to establish a straightforward and fair appeal mechanism for reservation ban decisions. Such a system would benefit everyone in our community, ensuring justice is not only served but visibly so. When every family has the right to challenge baseless accusations, we build a stronger, more cohesive community built on fairness, transparency, and truth. All n all I would like to get Dakota Plyer banned from the reservation or relocated.

Please join me in calling for this much-needed change. By signing this petition, you stand with families like mine who demand a fair chance to protect our homes and lives from unjust actions. Your support is invaluable, and together we can make a difference for our community.

Sign this petition and help build a fairer, more transparent community for all of us.
