Good morning everyone. It was hard to decide what to say this morning.
If you have not yet watched last night’s (Mon 30th) Panorama, you can find it on BBC iPlayer here. We would still encourage you to share your stories on social media, sharing this petition with everyone you know, as well as contacting your elected representatives and asking them to please watch this.
We had thought about using the momentum from last night to drive the next actions in the campaign, but it is actually hard to know how to feel. I think it is fair to say that we all found it hard to watch and are experiencing a range of emotions this morning.
We absolutely would like to thank Layla Moran and the APPG on Coronavirus, as well as Cath Burns and the entire team at BBC Panorama. Particular thanks should go out to Layla Moran, who in her interview, mentioned just a few of the sectors that are Keyworkers, though the programme largely featured NHS Staff.
We know that so many, across different sectors, put their safety at risk to keep the nation going. There is not enough recognition of that, let alone enough responsibility being taken for what is happening to us, or helping us live with relative security, with adequate healthcare.
So thank you to everyone who was commenting last night and continues to on social media. Thank you to everyone who told everyone to watch last night or to catch it on iPlayer. Thank you to everyone who has alerted their elected representatives. With any luck, this will start a conversation about what to do next for all key workers with occupational long Covid. We will speak to you all soon.
