It’s not the best possible outcome. We’ve left the EU and are now the sick man of Europe again, both financially and because of De Pfefell’s abysmal handling of COVID-19, we’re also literally the sick man of Europe. We’ve accepted a deal that reduces our sovereignty with Northern Ireland and Gibraltar, increases customs red tape and therefore costs of imported goods. Goodbye to Freedom of Movement, Erasmus, EHIC, EuroTom, Data Roaming and many more benefits of EU membership. While I don’t think we’ll starve or die as a result of the deal, I am expecting the deal to improve as time goes on and am hopeful of one day rejoining the EU again.
