Almost 3 years on and still waiting for an inquest into my sisters death.

Firstly thank you to all our supporters. I wont go in to too much detail as I have previously given in detail the tragic circumstances surrounding my sisters death whilst under the care of Prospect Park hospital in Reading Berkshire. Following horrific abuse she was left sedated on her bed and left in a fire whilst everyone else got evacuated. She tragicaly died almost 3 years ago and we are still waiting for an official inquest. Since finding a solicitor to take on our case we still have a huge fight on our hands. We have come up against information being witheld and authorites involved have closed ranks on us. We have documents outlining so many failings on all levels whilst no one is accepting responsibility. My sisters abuser has been allowed to walk into another job to alegedly abuse again! Awaiting an outcome from the cqc. This is unacceptable! We cannot allow this and we wont let my sisters suffering go without justice served. 

Since our coronor has decided to retire during the middle of preparations for the inquest we are now waiting for our new coroner to get up to speed. This will take more time giving them even longer to drag their heals whilst we suffer in silence. My sister is not just another statistic! How can we have faith in a mental health system that wont accept acountability. This has affected my whole family, most of all my elderly mother suffering with her health. We wont give up the fight for justice. We will keep fighting. No family should endure what we have had to. This should not be allowed to keep happening. We need justice served so that lessons can be learned so that it doesnt keep happening to more vulnerable people in the system. Too many lives have becone just another statistic!
