Animal Cruelty charges have yet to be filed on South Bay Rabbit Rescue and Brenda Andringa has no intentions of shutting down.
In fact, their website is asking for donations to help get SBRR back on top.  Their Facebook page reads “It is a beautiful day for new beginnings”.

How incredibly appalling and unacceptable that there is no remorse for the suffering and death caused and there is a possibility this pseudo, unethical rescue can start right back up without consequence to repeat the same animal crimes.  The owner simply moves from one property to another when breaking ordinances or is reported for neglect, her last location was in Morgan Hill.

Please take a moment and contact the District Attorney’s Office and respectfully request a review of Animal Control’s investigation and request animal cruelty charges be filed and this fake rescue shut down permanently.

The unknowing public has already been defrauded for donations while rabbits inhumanely suffered and died from neglect, illness, injuries, fly strike and heat stroke as the owner failed to provide basic care and humane treatment while living in fabric tents suitable for a vehicle.

Many of the rabbits are already up for adoption at Santa Clara Animal Services.
