Hadid’s half-built $100 Million home sold on Oct. 1, for just $5.1 million after it was condemned by city inspectors and ordered destroyed because it poses structural risks to neighbors.

The $5.1 million price is barely enough to cover costs of demolition and restoration at the site of the 30,000-square-foot (2,800-square-meter) property.

The house had been listed for $100 million.

“Bad ideas, just because they cost a lot of money, don’t become better ideas,” said Fred Rosen, a Bel Air neighborhood activist. "Hadid has no one to blame but himself."

Clearly Bel Air, CA has the stones to reign in abuse by rich developers in ways that Maui lacks.

So far, our County Council appears unwilling to contribute the authority they do have to ensure that Department Directors' administration of the Brown situation is consistent with County ordinances - Hint: It isn't!

And given Mike Victorino's lack of leadership and management over well-demonstrated corruption within his departments, it's up to the citizens to force the issue. 

That means public protests at Brown's construction site, and lawsuits brought by local citizens, both of which are being organized as we speak.
