Counter-Strike, one of the most popular video games, is a shooting game where there are terrorists who place bombs at bomb sites or hold hostages and counter-terrorists who prevent bombing operation or rescue hostages, and both teams attack each other

There are different factions for counter-terrorists and terrorists that differ only by appearance and voice lines, these factions are set by the game based on the map and you could buy a skin ("Agents") of factions just to make this skin look better in maps that use its faction, but in Counter-Strike 2, you always play with SAS and "Phoenix" and you can choose any skin you buy from other factions

The company is partially profiting from characters representing Muslim "terrorists"...

• Counter-terrorists: SAS, FBI, SWAT, GSG 9, IDF and more
• Terrorists: Many factions, some may be real gangs, but two of them are Middle Eastern, "Elite Crew" and "Guerrilla Warfare"

If you're a Counter Strike player, you must know Dust II and "Mirage" maps...

These two maps and some more insult Muslims! The maps include:

• Dust
• Shortdust
• Dust II
• "Mirage"
• Anubis, terrorists are "Elite Crew"
• Ancient, terrorists are "Elite Crew"

Middle Eastern "Terrorists"

According to this article, you can see that the terrorists are "Elite Crew" and the counter-terrorists are IDF (Israel Defense Forces), the map was declared as set in Iraq but got changed to Morocco (perhaps not a real place anyways), this is not the only map with "Elite Crew" and IDF

  • Represent Hamas (references year 1987)
  • "1989 hijacking of Fly Friendly Airlines Flight 983" seems to be a reference to UTA Flight 772
  • "attack on a Greek luxury cruise ship" seems to be a reference to Achille Lauro hijacking
  • "Prof. Shahmat" is a reference to Mohammed Hassan Shama'a, and the official description for this character is disturbing to say the least

  • Represent Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine – General Command (references year 1968)
  • "1982 bombing of a school bus full of Rock and Roll musicians" refers to West Berlin discotheque bombing
• Danger Zone subjects
  • Appear only in special maps and game modes 
  • Use the same heads of "Elite Crew" characters and have insulting names
  • The story of the first map with these characters is here, it might be some indirect insult or not at all, but it is about a terrorist organization (Phoenix faction) that keep "Elite Crew" "terrorists" as subjects for some experiment in an island, probably trying to see what happens if terrorists are stuck together in an island

Dust II

This map has a building is obviously a Mosque with a Mosque dome

This building has chemical weapon crates owned by IDF that terrorists (they mean Hamas) aim to bomb

They had changed the domes in Counter-Strike 2, but remains the same in other versions and also they still look like Mosque domes

Stance

Given how popular the game is, there must be a strong stance against Valve Corporation to remove all Islam associations from the game and from all its available to buy/download versions of Counter-Strike series including beta releases

Middle Eastern maps must be analyzed for background details as well that insult Islam or Muslims or Arab, for example, Mirage has a rug that looks like it has a gnome (decalrug003a) and a beer bottle in the shop

 

 

 

It is not acceptable to insult Islam or Arab
