Hi All ,

Im addressing this email to all in the hope that somebody will do something about the matter I the Subject line.

Ive included Caxtons as they have already published my pleas on the matter previously under the readers letters.

There is a huge safety issue at this intersection and kids lives are at risk - I urge you to try turn right into Peter from Van Dalen North on any normal school going morning and see what I am talking about.

People are reckless due to the pressure they are placed under by signage all over the place, a mounting queue of vehicles behind them hooting and oncoming traffic from Ruimsig estate ideally turning in the opposite direction to those going down Peter road while traffic is coming from both directions. Then to add fuel to the chaos, a taxi will stop I the intersection to drop off or pick up passengers.

Not a week goes by were there isn’t a collision on the corner and Metro marking roads and talking incident reports, the last being Saturday morning.

I was involved in a collision on Van Dalen a few years ago leaving me with a broken neck and why I am so sensitised by this matter. I suggested the school place points-men at the intersection until this is resolved but to date have had no feedback, but as a parent I have seen them change their access policies to share the traffic to now enter the school on Peter road making all Van Dalen traffic now have to go through the chaos I’ve described above just making the traffic volume more and matter worse.

I hope your budget process doesn't take too long to approve and before somebody gets seriously injured or worse and urge you all to come down on a Monday morning at 7:30am (during a normal school day) and see what I am talking about, its more frightening then a Gold reef city ride to get across into Peter road.
