To all,

I listened to the Los Angeles City council meeting yesterday (7/28/2021) as they discussed item #20 / CF-20-1376-S1 CF-20-1376 [to replace Section 41.18 of the LA Municipal Code with an ordinance that specifies the particular times and locations where it shall be unlawful for a person to sit, lie, or sleep, or to store, use, maintain, or place personal property in the public right of way.] and was disappointed to see that council member Bonin voted against it and in essence ignored the concerns of the communities he represents in regard to the growing homeless problem in Mar Vista.

His comments about the motion clearly indicates to me that Mr. Bonin is much more supportive of the unhoused than he is of the housed tax paying constituents in the community.  Fortunately, 13 other city council members felt otherwise and the motion passed.  But the ordinance still needs to be approved.
