Today Bonin posted on his social media that he is asking the public for "Further Town Hall Suggestions" bit.ly/cd11townhalls 

This comes after he rejected our call for a Venice Public Safety Town Hall by transforming it into a CD11 wide town hall (minimizing Venice which has far more crime than any other part of CD11) and deciding that he will run it himself, pre-selecting questions and his own moderator instead of going through the VNC. 

So I suggest all 1,900 of us fill it out and under "Other" and write in "Venice Town Hall run by VNC." bit.ly/cd11townhalls 

Skip the "Is there a discussion topic you would like to discuss at a future town hall meeting?" question. Clicking "Public Safety" there means you want a CD11 wide event and that's not what we asked. for.

He's welcome to have a CD11 wide town hall but not as a replacement for a Venice specific event run by an objective group of elected reps like the VNC. We want an open and transparent town hall, not an orchestrated CD11 event. 

As a friendly reminder, Mar Vista received a public safety town hall specific to their neighborhood in 2019. All we're asking for is a zoom call, which is not a lot to ask considering that he is indicating he has plenty of time to host these meetings (just not one for Venice?).
