Feb 12, 2017 — Update: Feb. 7 Mid City West Community Council (MCWCC) Board Meeting: Several of us addressed MCWCC on why Toast should be denied an alcohol license. Sincerest thanks to all who came and spoke. The Board was very gracious to hear our concerns and we all felt they understood our issues. But, it isn’t over! AND TIME IS SHORT! MCWCC is just the first step in the process to defeat TOAST’s alcohol license request. It’s like a preliminary game before the Super Bowl. Our Super Bowl is coming up and will be before the Zoning Administrator (ZA Hearing) on Feb. 16, 2017 at 10:00 A.M., Los Angeles City Hall 200 North Spring St. Room 1020, Los Angeles, 90012. What’s Next: Feb 11 - Feb 16 Between Now and the Zoning Administrator’s Hearing on Feb. 16: 1. Call Councilman Koretz’s office at: (323) 866-1828. Tell him to SAY NO TO A FULL LINE OF ALCOHOL FOR TOAST BAKERY! (ZA 2016 4846 CUB CV) 2. Feb. 16-ATTEND! BRING FRIENDS, NEIGHBORS, and FAMILY to the ZA Hearing! We need as many people as possible to attend this meeting. Not everyone must speak. It is a numbers game. THE MORE PEOPLE THE BETTER! YOU CAN BET TOAST WILL BRING THEIR CUSTOMERS WHO LIVE OUTSIDE THE AREA! THIS IS OUR NEIGHBORHOOD! If we allow TOAST to succeed it will mean every restaurant on 3rd St. and on Beverly Blvd. will eventually apply and get a FULL ALCOHOL permit. We already have an over-saturation of these licenses and more restaurants are becoming BARS. Little 3rd St is already looking like Hollywood Blvd. with crowds of people flowing out onto the streets and into our residential areas until 4am! Do you want to speak?
