The only way to keep the new viewshaft is to put in a submission to support the new viewshaft but ask for it to be widened A number of discrepancies have been noted on reading the fine print of the Plan change so we suggest ticking Support the Plan change in section 1 then in the second section ticking either option 2 or 4 and asking for amendments These are the amendments we have noted Correct the height at the apex of the viewshaft Taking 1.7 metres (male height) as the height of viewing the lowered heights is false 50% of the population would still see interrupted views of the Gulf Widen the viewshaft to include all the properties to the beginning of Mellons Bay Rd in keeping with the low rise Howick Village Plan (a number of these properties are still at 12 metres Widen the viewshaft by including the Mixed Use (currently still 18 metres ) to protect the amazing views as one enters Howick from Ridge Rd
